The AAGEN SES Development Program is a tuition-free program that offers executive development courses, coaching in mock interviews, individual mentoring, and career counseling for candidates to gain the skills to effectively compete for SES positions. Each candidate will be assigned a SES or a Flag officer mentor who will provide guidance throughout the program. Other benefits include:

Applicants must have the explicit approval and support of their current organizations to apply and be a registered AAGEN member by the Application Deadline to be considered for selection into the program . The next class will commence in April 2015 and the program will continue to March 2016. The training sessions will be held each quarter in the Washington, DC metro area.

The AAGEN SES Development Program will select candidates for its 2015-2016 Class. Eligible applicants must be at the GS-15 equivalent level or higher, and have at least one (1) year of supervisory experience and a registered AAGEN member for the the current year of application. Current federal government employees and qualified professionals from outside the federal government may apply. AAGEN will select up to twenty-four candidates for the class, up to four of whom may be selected from applicants outside the federal government.

- A completed Executive Development Plan (see sample)
- Completed Executive Core Qualifications (see the OPM guidance for further details).
- A current resume.
- Up to two written references (optional).
Online entry Registration begins on NOW and ends promptly at 11:59PM on 31 December 2014 due to end of year holidays. The complete application package is due by 15 January 2015 to ensure that our Panel members have adequate time to review the candidacy and determine selection. We will notify your selection via email prior to mid March 2015.
Both the online application submission and the e-mail with attachment are a part of your application package. Incomplete applications will be rated as "ineligible" and will not be considered.
Applicant can submit first the online application without all supported documents. Applicants have until the closing date to submit the rest supported documents/materials via email to programs@aagen.org.
Please follow the referenced OPM guidance for ECQ writing: each ECQ cannot exceed 2 pages, and the font should be regular and legible (no less than 12pt font). One page per ECQ is also encouraged and acceptable.
