BiographyJoseph C. Ayoub joined the federal civil service in 1996 as a Presidential Management Intern from Georgetown University’s Graduate School of Foreign Service. He spent his first year at Commerce counseling small and medium-sized businesses on federal export assistance programs. He then joined the Energy Division within the International Trade Administration and developed an expertise on the energy industry and energy trade policy. In January of 2001, Mr. Ayoub was promoted to Director of the Energy Division. In April of 2006, Mr. Ayoub accepted a position with the Department of Energy’s Energy Information Administration (EIA). At EIA, Mr. Ayoub has served as the Director for Integrated Energy Statistics, the Director for International Energy Analysis, and currently serves as Lead Economist for Bilateral Energy Engagement and Cross-Agency Project Management. Mr. Ayoub is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, and is a recipient of the Vice President’s National Performance Review Award for helping to build a government that works better and costs less. |
